2 June - Volunteering with Vulnerable Adults - Awareness Training - Aylesbury

Do your volunteers engage with older and vulnerable adults in their role? If so, we have developed a free training workshop to cover important issues your volunteers may face.

The workshop, delivered by Training Together, will enable volunteers to support people in their care and raise awareness of any risks they may face. It will be particularly beneficial for volunteers of statutory and voluntary organisations/groups who offer befriending services, community car schemes, and who directly support vulnerable adults and elderly people at home.

The workshop will cover Effective Communication, Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Lone Working.

Who will be delivering the course?

The trainers, Jon Clarke and Mark Sutton, each have extensive experience in a variety of operational and training roles and careers spanning over 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Service. They both previously worked for the London Borough of Haringey training on a variety of serious and sensitive subjects that include: domestic violence, family liaison, child abuse and mental health issues.
