6 December - What do Trustees do? Roles and Responsibilities - Amersham

Congratulations, you’re a trustee! What next? Do you understand your individual and collective role and responsibilities? Did someone outline these for you so you knew what to do from the outset? Or are you muddling along doing your best and wondering if you are on the right track?

This may be a new role or you may have been doing it for a while. Either way, come along to share and learn more about what trustees do and your vital CPD certified logorole in making your charity effective and successful.

The course will help you:

  • Develop an understanding of what is and what isn’t the role and responsibility of a trustee
  • Be introduced to the key legal responsibilities and recognised good practice, and know where to find out more information
  • Identify and discuss implications for your current trusteeship

Facilitated by Diane Rutter from Community Impact Bucks. Diane has served on and supported trustee boards and knows how important it is for everyone to understand their role and how it relates to the rest of their group, thus avoiding problems caused by misunderstandings and by having a clear focus for the best possible outcome.

"I have a clear understanding of the role that I play in the organisation....that has led others to know their responsibilities." Previous delegate.

The workshop is limited to 12 participants from the voluntary and community sector and costs just £40 per person to include coffee/tea/refreshments.
