21 June - Running Effective Meetings

A practical workshop to help local charities and community groups make their committee meetings more effective.

Do you enjoy your trustee/committee meetings - or do you grit your teeth before they start and hope that you can last the course? Do committee CPD accredited logomeetings fill you with dread - or do they leave you feeling energised and excited about your work?

A well-run meeting can make a huge difference to the morale and motivation of committee members and to the overall effectiveness of the society or group you support.  Come along to share your experiences and learn how to improve the quality and effectiveness of the time your committee spends together, so that you can work constructively to achieve more!

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify what makes an effective meeting for your organisation or group
  • The importance of agendas and how to write them
  • Gain top tips for running more effective meetings and identify behaviours and pitfalls to avoid.

"The entire session was very useful.  It helped me refocus and prioritise what parts of my meetings are important and how to deal with them." Previous course delegate.

Facilitated by Diane Rutter from Community Impact Bucks. Diane has served on and supported many committees and knows how important it is for meetings to have a clear focus and for everyone to understand their role and how it relates to the rest of their group to avoid problems caused by misunderstandings and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Price:

  • £30 per participant
  • £40 for two participants from the same organisation or group
