Voluntary Sector questions raised over proposed Bucks County Council budget

13 January 2012

Bucks County Council proposed budget papers hold a welcome statement:

Recognizing the valuable work carried out by the voluntary and community sector these budget proposals protect the current level of overall funding to the sector. (Draft Revenue and Capital Budgets for 2012/13 and 2014/15, paragraph 15.)

However it is difficult from the detail of the budget to see whether this has been upheld throughout the proposals.

On Monday this week Diane Rutter from Community Impact Bucks presented a paper to Bucks County Council's Budget Scrutiny Group, detailing some questions from the voluntary and community sector. Her input was well received and BCC have committed to follow these up with each portfolio holder. Watch this news space for their responses.
