Community Impact Bucks is the independent charity which provides comprehensive support services to other charities, community groups, social enterprises and rural organisations throughout Buckinghamshire. It is also the Volunteer Centre for Buckinghamshire, helping members of the public to get involved in community activity. How can we help you today?

Getting ready for a cold snap? Do you provide emergency help in the case of adverse weather?

1 February 2012

As the Volunteer Centre for Buckinghamshire, Community Impact Bucks is about to run a recruitment campaign raising awareness of the need for volunteers who would be available to help their neighbours or vulnerable people in their local community in the case of bad weather or other emergency.

This might be collecting a prescription, clearing snow or other blockages, delivering essential groceries or simply checking that someone is alright. The recruitment campaign will start in early February and run until the end of March.

To ensure that the best use is made of those who volunteer in response to the campaign we would like to know if your group or organisation would like us to refer potential volunteers to you.

If you would like to be included in this initiative please contact Joy Johns at Community Impact Bucks 0845 3890389 or send an email  providing the name of your organisation and contact details, the area you cover, your volunteer needs/services offered.

We look forward to hearing from you.
