Launch of Buckinghamshire Community Transport Hub

The Buckinghamshire Community Transport Hub, a countywide community transport information, advice and signposting line will go live on 24th September 2012

The hub will provide information on all aspects of community transport, from Dial A Rides to community car schemes, mini bus hire to wheelchair accessible taxis- and will  be available to anyone who needs advice on how to get around.The aim of the hub is to bring communities together and ensure that people have access to information about how to get to medical appointments and other essential services. 

A small team of volunteers will be coming in and working in the office with Sally Evatt, Rural Transport Officer. Julia , Michael, who is an RAF officer at Strike Command and runs a community car scheme in his spare time, and Eileen, who is new to volunteering will be helping with the enquiries.

The service will be formally launched on 3rd October at The Gatehouse, Aylesbury. from 4pm-6pm. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
