Building Bucks

‘Building Bucks' is a Big Lottery funded project. Its overall aim is to support and enable all voluntary and community groups in Buckinghamshire to operate effectively and to develop opportunities

This support is available in the following areas:

Providing your organisation or group with a health check
Developing a brokerage service between you and Public Sector Commissioning teams
Building a comprehensive database of the wide range of voluntary and community groups that exist in Buckinghamshire.

The ‘Building Bucks' Health check

Undertaking a healthcheck within your organisation, is like giving your car a service, it will confirm what's working well and identify areas that may need attention. More information on the 'Building Bucks' health check is available on the attached leaflet which details the health check process, its features and benefits.

Brokerage

The definition of brokerage is the provision of the services of a broker. A broker acts as a middle man, and this is what Building Bucks does, it acts to build the relationship between your group and commissioning teams.A thorough commissioning process will have identified the‘state of the market' and have a good idea of the size and capability of potential providers. The Building Bucks brokerage service works towards ensuring that:

Commissioners know the list of potential service providers.
Groups like yourselves know how the commissioning process works and are kept up to date, so you can be commissioning ‘ready' before tendering starts.

Building Bucks can play a key part in helping commissioners and voluntary groups come together to improve service delivery.
