Community Transport

We continue to see increased demand from community groups and individuals seeking support and assistance regarding transport issues.

This varies from advice on how to get to hospital appointments to more general enquiries on how to set up a community transport scheme.

To meet these needs Community Impact Bucks offers the following services:

Community Transport Hub

Funded by Buckinghamshire County Council, the transport hub provides information, advice and guidance on community transport providers in Bucks. If you call the hub we will look to provide information on all aspects of community transport, from Dial-a-Ride to community car schemes, mini bus hire to wheelchair accessible taxis.

Please note we cannot make or take any bookings but through our community transport database we can provide advice on the best method of transport for your need.

Community Car Schemes Toolkit

Through our operation of the community transport hub we often identify a lack of community transport in a specific area. In such instances our community team will try to work with the local community to help set one up.

If you are aware of an area where there is no community transport service, why not discuss with us the practicalities of starting up a scheme.

As a first step why not take a look at the toolkit we have produced which gives information and advice on starting a car scheme or community bus.
