Summary

Loans are available from £1,000 to £25,000.

Eligible organisations

  • Registered charities
  • Formaly constituted, but incorpoarted groups or organisations
  • Social enterprises, including Community Interest Companies or companies limited by guarantee

Eligible expenditure (this list is not exhaustive!)

  • Change in your business model to allow you time to generate more income
  • Purchase of equipment to enable your organisation to benefit immediately from the equipment and then to raise the funds to repay the loan
  • Projects that will improve the long-term sustainability of your organisation
  • Bridging loan/cash flow financing to cover a short-term period until alternative funding is forthcoming

Criteria

Applicants must be able to show

  • Community benefit to Buckinghamshire
  • Ability to repay the loan

Loan repayment

The repayment period be between one year and five years. You'll need to submit a suggested schedule of repayments with your application form.

What is the cost to you organisation?

  • The loan will not be charged interest and will be provided on an unsecured basis
  • You will be charged an Associate Fee of 4% of the initial value of the loan which will be payable annually for the period of the loan
  • The first payment of the Associate Fee will be deducted from the amount of the  loan and a standing order for  subsequent Fees will need to be submitted before the loan  is advanced.
