Urban Community Led Planning

As part of our work on Community Led Planning we are now looking at ways in which urban communities can enjoy the same benefits of this process at the rural communities that we have traditionally worked with.

As a result three communities within the unparished High Wycombe town area have been selected to work with. These are Bowerdean, Totteridge and Disraeli. We have already had a very successful initial meeting with Bowerdean Residents Association, which is newly formed and is keen to understand the needs of the local community and to galvanise community action. It is anticipated that a Community Led Planning process will enable them to do this. There is an open meeting planned in Disraeli, at Disraeli school on 17th February at 7pm to outline the process to residents and encourage everyone to explore the process. We are also planning on doing the same in Totteridge. Within the Aylesbury Town area, we have already had very good discussions with Aylesbury Town Council, and Community Impact Bucks will be working on community Led Planning in the Prebendal Farm community and in another two, yet to be identified, areas.
